Bomb squad rush to Qld beach after ‘explosive’ object washes up on sand

A Queensland beach has been closed after an explosive looking object, believed to be a marine marker, washed up on the sand.

Explosive experts rushed to Teewah Beach, north of the Sunshine Coast, after the object was spotted by a beachgoer at 11am Tuesday.

A 150 metre exclusion zone has been set up at the beach while investigations continue.
