Bottle shop robber to front court

THE MAN accused of robbing a Woodbridge bottle shop on Saturday will front Court on Monday.

It’s alleged he entered the Station Road store around 5:10pm and pulled out a knife on the male and female working there.

Police claim he threatened the pair and made demands for cash before fleeing on foot with a large sum of money.


No one was physically injured during the incident and the thief was tracked down a short time later.

The 24-year-old Woodridge man has been charged with one count each of armed robbery and possess utensils or pipes.

He is due to appear in the Beenleigh Magistrates court today.
