A 13-year-old boy has been charged with armed robbery after allegedly holding up a service station at Upper Coomera with a toy gun.
The youngster entered the servo on Brygon Creek Drive just before 6.00pm on Tuesday demanding cigarettes from the attendant.
When the shop employee refused, the boy allegedly pulled out a toy gun.

A member of the public grabbed the boy and the pair became involved in a fight where the boy allegedly kicked and smashed a glass window.
The teen was arrested by police at the scene and has since been charged with one count each of armed robbery and wilful damage.
Investigations are continuing.
