Boy, 14, airlifted to hospital with head injuries after falling from cricket nets

A 14-YEAR-OLD boy has been airlifted to hospital after falling from a set of cricket nets in Sydney’s north.

The boy was climbing the nets at Terrey Hills on Saturday when he slipped and fell to the ground around 11am.

It’s understood the boy sustained head and chest injuries after falling around four metres.

CareFlight’s rapid response rescue helicopter was dispatched and landed on an oval near the nets.

The crew’s specialist doctor and critical care paramedic assisted ambulance officers in treating the boy at the scene before he was airlifted to hospital.

A CareFlight spokesperson said the teen was flown to the Children’s Hospital at Westmead in a stable condition.
