Boy, 15, charged over savage stabbing inside Melbourne fish and chip shop

A 15-YEAR-OLD boy has been charged over a savage stabbing in a Melbourne fish and chip shop which has left a man in a critical condition.

Police say the teen stabbed an 18-year-old man in the Doncaster East takeaway store in the city’s northeast on Saturday night.

The victim was rushed to the Royal Melbourne Hospital where he remains today in a serious condition.

The 15-year-old was arrested and charged with causing serious injury in circumstances of gross violence, intentionally and recklessly causing serious injury and possessing a weapon.

He has been bailed to appear at a Children’s Court at a later date.
