Boy, 16, charged over aggravated sex attack

A 16-YEAR-OLD boy has been arrested and charged with multiple counts of aggravated sexual assault after allegedly chasing down and sexually assaulting a middle-aged man at knifepoint in Sydney’s west.

Police said the victim, a 53-year-old man, was in the car park of a shopping centre on Carlisle Avenue in Mt Druitt when he was approached by the teenager about 1am on Sunday.

It’s alleged the boy, who police said was a stranger to the man, pulled out a knife and threatened the 53-year-old before chasing him down and violently sexually assaulting him.


The victim contacted police immediately after the incident and was taken to Blacktown Hospital for assessment.

Police said thankfully, the man suffered no physical injury.

The boy was arrested on Luxford Road in nearby Whalan a short time later.

Police allege the boy was still armed with the large knife.

The 16-year-old was taken to Riverstone Police Station where he aws charged with three counts of aggravated sexual assault – threaten actual bodily harm on victim with weapon.

He has been refused bail and is due to appear in a Children’s Court on Monday.
