Boy, 16, charged with murder of woman at Qld home

A 16-year-old boy has been charged with murder over the stabbing death of a woman in Bundaberg.

Emergency crews were called to a home on Kepnock Road in Kepnock just before 9.00am on Saturday, following reports of a disturbance.

Upon arrival, they found a woman suffering serious stab wounds.

Despite desperate attempts to save her, the woman could not be revived and died at the scene.

Police confirmed in a statement overnight that they had now charged a 16-year-old boy with the woman’s murder, with the teen due to appear in Bundaberg Children’s Court on Monday.

Investigators are appealing for anyone on Kepnock Road, near Kepnock State High School on Friday November 30, between 7am and 9am, who may have witnessed something or has dashcam, to come forward.
