Boy, 17, charged with stabbing teen in the head on the Sunshine Coast

A TEENAGER has been charged after allegedly stabbing another teen in the head on Queensland’s Sunshine Coast.

The attack allegedly took place at a unit block on Katharina Street in Noosa Heads on Monday afternoon.

Police said two 17-year-old boys became involved in a heated shouting match at the address around 3pm.

That argument escalated into a physical altercation, during which one teen allegedly stabbed the other.

The injured teen took himself to Noosa Hospital where he was treated for stab wounds to his head.

It’s understood the boy also sustained knife wounds to his hands while trying to fend off the armed teen.

A 17-year-old boy from Black Mountain has since been charged with one count of wounding and one count of possessing property suspected of having being used in connection with a drug offence.

He will appear in the Maroochydore Magistrates Court on November 20.
