Boy, 2, in serious condition after being attacked by dog in NSW

A two-year-old boy is in hospital in a serious condition after being attacked by a dog at East Nowra on Sunday.

It’s understood the boy was in the front yard of a home on Quickmatch Street around 4pm when he was bitten by the animal.

He was taken to Shoalhaven Hospital where he is in a serious but stable condition with injuries to his chest, back, head and legs.

Police were contacted by hospital staff after the boy was brought in.

The dog has been secured and officers from Shoalhaven Local Area Command will liaise with local council rangers.
