Boy, 8, left fighting for life after being run over by p-plater on NSW Central Coast

A YOUNG boy is fighting for his life in hospital after he was hit by a car being driven by a P-plater on NSW’s Central Coast yesterday afternoon.

The eight-year-old was playing with friends when he was struck by the Subaru Forrester on Prince Street at Wamberal at around 4.45pm.

He was airlifted to Sydney Children’s Hospital at Randwick where he remains in a critical condition with life-threatening injuries.

A crime scene was established and the male P-plate driver was taken to Gosford Hospital to undergo mandatory blood and urine testing.

No charges have yet been laid.
