Boy accused of leading NSW Police on wild pursuit in stolen BMW

A TEENAGE boy has been arrested and charged after allegedly leading police on a wild chase in a stolen BMW.

The dramatic scenes unfolded in Liverpool, in Sydney’s south-west on Thursday morning.

Police say they tried intercepting the stolen BMW on Elizabeth Drive around 9.30am, but the driver failed to stop.

Officers pursued the vehicle through several back streets before it came wedged between a fence and a pole.

The 17-year-old male driver was arrested at the scene and taken to Liverpool Police Station for processing.

A search of the stolen BMW also allegedly uncovered a stash of suspected stolen property.

The boy has since been charged with a long list of offences, including police pursuit (Skye’s Law), dangerous driving and two counts of having stolen goods in custody.

He has been refused bail and will appear before a Children’s Court tomorrow.
