Boy arrested while two men on the run following robberies
TWO men are on the run, while a boy is in custody, following two robberies just north of the Gold Coast.
At 11.10 last night, two men entered a Slacks Creek pizza shop and pulled a knife on a staffer.
The worker at the Kingston Road store handed over some cash and the men ran off.
No one was injured as a result of the robbery.
Both men are believed to be in their early 20s and Caucasian in appearance.
One is around 170cms tall, the other 160cms tall.
Meantime, a teenager has been charged following an alleged robbery around 40 minutes later.
He’s accused of implying he had a weapon when demanding cigarettes and cash from a convenience store worker in Logan Central.
The attendant complied and the boy then fled the scene. The 14-year-old was found by police a short time later and has been charged with one count each of burglary, armed robbery and unlawful use of a motor vehicle.
He will be dealt with under the provisions of the Youth Justices Act.
