Boy charged over terrifying sex attack

A TEENAGE boy has been arrested and charged after allegedly chasing down and sexually assaulting a woman at Logan.

The woman, 20, was walking home from the Kingston railway station when a 17-year-old boy began following her.

The teenager allegedly ran up behind the woman as she walked along Jacaranda Avenue and sexually assaulted her before running away, police said.

Police said the boy then allegedly attacked the woman a second time on Ashton Street a short time later.

This time it’s alleged the 17-year-old grabbed the woman and proceeded to sexually assault her before she was able to break free and seek help at a nearby house.

The random attack allegedly took place about 7pm on Tuesday, December 11 last year.

After issuing a public appeal earlier in the week to help find the woman’s attacker, the 17-year-old was arrested on Saturday and has since been charged with three counts of sexual assault.
