Sadly, veterinarians were unable to remove the projectiles without the animal dying.

Police were notified and commenced an investigation into the cruel crime.

Following inquiries, officers attended a property at Cecil Park where they spoke to a 66-year-old man and a 14-year-old boy.

Officers also seized a number of guns from the property, including an air rifled, which will undergo forensic testing.

The 14-year-old boy and 66-year-old man are still assisting police with their inquiries.
