Teen stabbed in chest in Sydney’s north-west

A teenage boy is recovering in hospital after being stabbed in the chest during a fight in Sydney’s north-west overnight.

Emergency services were called to Nottingham Avenue in Castle Hill at around 10.30pm following reports that a boy had been stabbed.

On arrival, officers located a 17-year-old boy with a stab wound to his chest.

He was treated by paramedics at the scene before being taken to Westmead Hospital.

His condition is listed as stable and is not considered life threatening, police said.

A crime scene was established outside the home while detectives from The Hills Local Area Command commenced their investigation.

Early inquiries suggest the teen was involved in a physical altercation with another man outside his home before being stabbed.

Inquiries are continuing.
