SCORES of police in bullet proof vests surrounded an Upper Coomera street this morning after reports a young man was brandishing a handgun.
Officers were called to Clydesdale Drive around 10am after a woman claimed a man had pointed a gun at her as she drove past.
Multiple police units responded, including the police helicopter, and placed the area into lockdown.

Police gathered on Reserve Road before storming the quiet street only to find a teenager “messing around” with a plastic toy gun.
He was ordered to get on the ground and was searched by police who told him to throw the gun in the garbage.
