Boyfriend of Morgan Freeman’s granddaughter pleads not guilty to her chilling stabbing death

The rapper boyfriend of Morgan Freeman’s granddaughter has pleaded not guilty to second-degree murder over her chilling stabbing death.

Lamar Davenport was arrested on August 16 while standing over his girlfriend, Edena Hines’ body, a knife still sticking out of her chest.

While being driven to a hospital, the 30-year-old allegedly called Jesus Christ “savior” and the devil “evil” before telling the officers to “repent for your sins.”

Court papers also revealed that he had asked the officers if they believed in Jesus and complained his handcuffs were too tight.

It was initially revealed that Hines suffered 15 stab wounds, however a final autopsy revealed the 33-year-old was stabbed a horrifying 25 times.

Davenport is expected to undergo a psychiatric evaluation before his next court appearance.
