Brave Socceroos narrowly lose 3-2 to The Netherlands
TIM Cahill has once again brought Australian sports fans out of their seats…
After scoring our only goal in the Socceroos’ World Cup loss to Chile, Cahill was again the man to light up the score board for Australia in this morning’s clash against The Netherlands.
News.com.au reports, Cahill’s goal was an instant reply to the Netherland’s opener, and Australia even went ahead through Mile Jedinak’s penalty.
But the Dutch powerhouse kept coming back, to win 3-2 in Porto Alegre.
It means Ange Postecoglou’s side is likely to exit the World Cup, although they still have Spain to play and a mathematical chance ahead of the champions’ game against Chile.
