Police are investigating a botched ATM robbery at a grocery store on the Gold Coast early this morning.
It’s understood that around 12.50am, a stolen white Mitsubishi Outlander reversed up to the front doors of the business on Reed Street at Ashmore.
Police said two people then jumped out of the vehicle and forced open the roller door.

They then attempted to place a strap around an ATM and tow it out of the shop, but were unsuccessful.
The brazen thieves then fled in the stolen vehicle.
Investigations are ongoing. Anyone with information is urged to come forward.
