It’s been a busy morning for emergency crews on the Gold Coast with multiple people injured in a spate of crashes across the city.
The latest accident, which occurred just after 11.00am, has brought traffic to a standstill southbound on the M1 at Helensvale.
At least three vehicles have been involved in the crash, which has caused one car to roll.

Four people are being treated at the scene by paramedics, with crews also working to free one of the drivers who remains trapped.
It comes after a motorbike and car collided on High Ridge Road in Gaven just after 10.30am.
The motorcyclist, a man, suffered facial injuries and has been taken to the Gold Coast University Hospital in a serious but stable condition with critical care paramedics on board.
The driver of the vehicle sustained neck and shoulder injuries and has been hospitalised in a stable condition.
Meantime, another motorist was transported to the Gold Coast University Hospital in a stable condition around 9.30am after a car rollover on Tamborine Oxenford Road in Upper Coomera.
While a man in his 70s is in a serious condition after crashing his mountain bike down a stormwater drain on Peachey Road in Ormeau in the early hours of this morning.
