A bushfire has broken out on the northern Gold Coast this afternoon, with multiple fire crews working to battle the flames.
The blaze is currently burning in parkland to the west of Reserve Road, in the vicinity of Skyridge Drive at Upper Coomera.
A spokesperson from Queensland Fire and Emergency Service said the fire is not posing any threat to homes at this stage.

“Firefighters are working to contain the blaze,” the spokesperson said.
Residents in the area are being warned they may be affected by smoke and are being urged to close windows and doors.
Any residents suffering from a respiratory condition are also being told to keep medications close by, while motorists are being warned to drive with caution and to conditions.
