Hero tradie braves flames to rescue pet dog “Panda” from burning Gold Coast home
UPDATE @ 2.00pm: A pet dog has been rescued from a burning home at Elanora on the Gold Coast this afternoon.
Quick-thinking tradie Garry Webber rushed to the animal’s aid, retrieving it from the inferno.
There are reports the dog, named Panda, was trapped underneath the home which has been completely destroyed.

The KP McGrath drive home erupted into flames just after 1.00pm sending thick black smoke billowing into the air above the suburb.
All occupants of the home managed to escape just in time.
Traffic is still being diverted around the scene as firefighters work to dampen the flames.

EARLIER @ 1.30pm: Fire crews are working to extinguish a fierce house fire on the Gold Coast.
The house on KP Mcgrath drive at Elanora burst into flames just after 1.00pm.
Several emergency crews including paramedics and police are on scene.
Video and pictures posted to social media show fire fighters battling the blaze from the roof of neighbouring properties.
It is not yet known if anyone was inside the home at the time the blaze broke out.
Traffic in the area is being diverted around the scene.
