Emergency crews are currently at the scene of a serious accident on the Pacific Motorway, which is expected to cause traffic gridlock for the afternoon drive home.
Two trucks, including a gravel truck and liquid gas tanker, collided in the southbound lanes near Exit 49 at Pimpama around 1.50pm.
The impact of the crash has caused one of the trucks to roll, spilling gravel all over the motorway.

It is currently blocking a number of lanes, with only one southbound lane currently open.
A Queensland Ambulance spokesperson told myGC both drivers managed to get themselves out of their vehicles.
The pair are currently being assessed at the scene by paramedics.
Police are urging motorists to avoid the area, with long delays expected.
“There’s been a gravel spill on the highway, big delays are building… Please delay your journey southbound and avoid if you can,” police tweeted.
