We’ll soon be able to enjoy an extra-long spot of shopping in southeast Queensland.
The National Retail Association has welcomed the decision to extend trading hours in the sunshine state.
The Industrial Relations Commission has given major businesses the all clear to trade between 7.00am
and 9.00pm Monday to Saturday.

The National Retail Association’s Dominique Lamb says the changes will benefit everyone.
“The Queensland economy is likely to receive in excess of $100 million in benefit from these opening hours and also probably create around 1,000 jobs,” she said.
Shoppers will be able to enjoy an early and late night spot of retail therapy from December 1.
