Investigations are underway after a woman was allegedly shot in Southport this afternoon.
A Queensland Police spokesperson confirmed to myGC that officers were called to the Southport Health Precinct along High Street around 2.15pm.
It’s understood a woman, aged in her late 20s, presented to the clinic with a wound to her left forearm.

She was treated at the scene by paramedics before being taken to the Gold Coast University Hospital in a stable condition.
The spokesperson confirmed a man, who is known to the woman, was seen running from the building.

Police and the dog squad are currently searching the area for him, as investigations continue.
