One person seriously injured after fire rips through Beenleigh house
ONE person has been rushed to hospital in a serious condition after a ferocious fire ripped through a house at Beenleigh, north of the Gold Coast.
Crews were called to the house ablaze on Sunnyview Street around midday on Saturday.
They arrived to find the house fully engulfed in flames, with thick black smoke billowing into the air.
Firefighters scrambled to extinguish the inferno and stop it from spreading to neighbouring properties.
Despite their efforts, though, the house could not be saved and has suffered extensive damage.
