A woman is receiving worldwide praise after she sent her wedding dress away to get chopped up into 17 little pieces…
The reason? Those 17 little pieces were made into precious ‘angel gowns’ for stillborns in a bid to make the unthinkable that little more bearable for mothers.
“Today I received my wedding gown back,” Justi Underwood Bates wrote on Facebook alongside an image of the tiny, beautiful white gowns.

“I sent it off earlier this year to be made into angel gowns for babies that don’t make it home from the hospital and I’ll be donating them to the NICU at Vanderbilt.”
“17 little gowns were made from my dress and as beautiful as they are I pray they are never needed.”
The woman’s simple act of kindness has inspired other women from around the world to follow in her footsteps.
“You have such a beautiful heart! Bless you for doing this for the families that will have to endure the unthinkable,” one person wrote.
“Where did you send your dress to have this done? This looks amazing!!” wrote another.
Ms Bates post was short and sweet, however has since gone viral with more than 160,000 shares.
