Brisbane man killed after car crashes off cliff in SE Qld

A Brisbane man has died after the car he was driving crashed off a cliff in south-east Queensland this morning.

Police said the 64-year-old man lost control of his vehicle on Mount Nebo Road, north-west of Brisbane, around 7.45am.

The man’s vehicle then left the road and careered down a steep embankment.

Sadly, the 64-year-old was pronounced dead at the scene.

He was the only person travelling in the vehicle.

Mount Nebo Road was closed for several hours but has since reopened to traffic.

The Forensic Crash Unit is investigating the cause of the crash.
