Brisbane paramedic attacked in back of ambulance

A Brisbane paramedic has been left with minor injuries after allegedly been attacked in the back of an ambulance early this morning.

It’s understood a woman was being transported to the Royal Brisbane and Women’s Hospital through the Legacy Way tunnel when she kicked a paramedic in the groin before punching him in the head around 2.10am.

When the woman eventually made it to the hospital, the paramedic was also treated for a variety of minor injuries.


A 34-year-old Indooroopilly woman has been charged with one count of serious assault of a public officer and is due to appear in the Brisbane Magistrates Court today.
