Brisbane school teacher charged with child exploitation

A Brisbane school teacher has been charged with child exploitation offences.

The 54-year-old man was arrested after Crime and Corruption Commission detectives executed a search warrant on his Tingalpa home overnight.

During the raid, police seized a computer which will be forensically examined.


In court, police will allege that the man was using peer to peer computer software at his house to access child exploitation material, including image and movie files.

He has been charged with Possessing Child Exploitation Material, Use a carriage service to access child pornography material and Use a carriage service to make available child pornography material.

The Department of Education has been advised on the outcome of the investigation.
