Brisbane woman accused of trying to run over child’s father denied bail

A woman accused of trying to mow down the father of her child on a Brisbane footpath has been refused bail in court.

Melissa Anne Davis appeared in Brisbane Magistrates Court on Monday morning, charged with two counts of attempted murder.

It’s alleged Ms Davis sped towards her child’s father at Zillmere on Saturday as he walked down the street with a woman.

Both managed to jump out of the way as the car came towards them.

Neither suffered injuries.

Ms Davis was denied bail and will return to court on May 2.
