EARLIER @ 7.00AM: The brother of Australian cricket star Usman Khawaja has been arrested and charged with breaching his bail and influencing a witness.

Arsalan Khawaja was charged earlier this month with trying to frame a colleague on terror charges.

It’s alleged the 39-year-old created a fake terror hit list with targets including then-Prime Minister Malcolm Turnbull, former Foreign Minister Julie Bishop and the Sydney Opera House.

The discovery of the document saw Sri Lankan student Mohamed Kamer Nilar Nizamdeen charged with terror offences before the charges were eventually dropped four weeks later.

Khawaja was released on $50,000 bail on December 4 charged with attempting to pervert the course of justice and making a false document.

Among the conditions of his bail, Khawaja was banned from going near the University of New South Wales or approaching witnesses or employees at the university.

According to Newscorp, Khawaja was arrested on Thursday at his Sydney home.

He’s due to face Parramatta Court today.
