Bullet strikes Gold Coast home

POLICE are investigating after a shot rang out in Lower Beechmont late on Sunday night.

Initial inquiries indicate that around 10.45pm, a vehicle has driven to a house on Tarlington Road and a person in the vehicle has fired one round from a firearm.

The projectile hit the bonnet of a utility that was parked in the driveway and has then ricocheted through to the second level of the house, going through the bedroom wall and landing on the floor.
