Bus driver attacked in Surfers Paradise

POLICE are hunting three people after yet another bus driver was attacked on the Gold Coast.

It’s believed the 47-year-old driver of the Surfside bus was punched in the face in Surfers Paradise around 11.10am on Saturday.

Officers are searching for two males and one female who entered the bus at a stop in the southbound lanes of Remembrance Drive, between Enderley Avenue and Surfers Paradise Boulevard.

The female paid for fare but it’s alleged the two males sat down without paying and were subsequently ordered off the bus.

One of the male’s punched the 47-year-old driver once in the face upon exiting the bus, causing pain and superficial injuries.

The trio was last seen walking down Remembrance Drive.
