Buses destroyed by fire at Sydney Airport
UPDATE 2:50PM AEST | TWO buses have been completely destroyed and a third damaged by fire at Sydney Airport.
The buses were parked in the Blue Emu car park at the airport when they caught fire around 3pm Sydney time.
It’s understood one bus caught alight, with flames spreading to the two others.

Fortunately, no one was on board either bus at the time.
The fierce fire which sent thick black smoke billowing into the air over the airport has since been extinguished.

EARLIER: EMERGENCY services are rushing to Sydney Airport where a number of buses have reportedly burst into flames.
According to Fire and Rescue NSW, two buses are on fire near the perimeter of the airport.
Emergency crews received multiple triple zero calls just after 3pm Sydney time.

Multiple fire crews are responding. It is not known how many people, if any, have been injured.
It was not immediately clear what caused the buses to erupt into flames or whether anyone was on board at the time.
