Both were treated at the scene before being taken to the Gold Coast University Hospital in stable conditions.

Just two hours later, paramedics were called to a workplace in Worongary after a man in his 30s was reportedly crushed by a loading machine.

He also suffered leg injuries and was taken to the Gold Coast University Hospital in a stable condition.

Meantime, a woman has been hospitalised after suffering burns at a home in Benowa.

A gas bottle reportedly exploded at the property just before 12.30pm.
