Bystanders perform CPR on child pulled from backyard pool

A young girl has been rushed to hospital after nearly drowning in a backyard pool in Logan.

Emergency crews were called to a house at Jimboomba just after 10.00am on Thursday after receiving reports a child had been pulled unconscious from the water.

Bystanders performed CPR on the child until ambulance crews arrived on scene.


A QAS spokesperson confirmed to myGC that the youngster was conscious and breathing again when paramedics arrived at the home.

She has since been taken to the Queensland Children’s Hospital in a serious but stable condition.
