Cahill ditches Melbourne City

Tim Cahill has announced his departure from A-Leauge club, Melbourne City, on his 38th birthday.

The Socceroos highest ever goalscorer had been frustrated with the club due to the lack of playing time, having only started one game for City this season.

After Australia qualified for the 2018 World Cup, Cahill spoke about the need for him to be playing regular football.
