Caitlyn Jenner could face manslaughter charges over fatal crash

Reality TV star Caitlyn Jenner could reportedly be charged with manslaughter over a fatal car crash.

It’s understood Jenner’s Cadillac Escalade 4WD read-ended the car of Kim Howe, 69, causing it to swerve into oncoming traffic on Malibu’s Pacific Coast Highway back in February.

Howe was killed and seven others were injured in the crash.

Local media claims the Sheriff’s office will recommend a manslaughter charge.

They believe Jenner was travelling at a speed unsuitable for the road conditions.

A final decision on whether to press charges will be made by the Los Angeles District Attorney’s office, possibly next week.

The maximum sentence for misdemeanour vehicular manslaughter in California is one year in jail.

Jenner told police at the time she was being pursued by paparazzi at the time, although not trying to evade them.

Howe’s family have filed a lawsuit of their own against Jenner, arguing she was negligent, careless and reckless.
