Calls for author of anonymous letter

MATTHEW Barclay’s father has called for the author of an anonymous letter to come forward.

The inquest into the teen’s death continued in Brisbane yesterday and revealed details of a letter which contained key information.

The anonymous letter had an “intimate knowledge” surrounding the possible relocation of events at the 2012 National Surf Life Saving Titles.

Matthew died in rough conditions at the event while competing in a board race.

Mathew’s father, Stephen, believes the author could provide further insight into the circumstances surrounding the board race.

The letter was sent anonymously to the coroner last month.
