QUEENSLAND Captain Cameron Smith stayed true to his word on Wednesday night, refusing to speak to Channel Nine before, during and after the Maroons State of Origin victory.
It’s reported that the network was informed of Smith’s stance and avoided approaching him for comment at the coin toss, during the half-time break and at full-time.
Earlier reports suggested Smith refused an interview with Darren Lockyer at half time, but the network stated that was untrue.

The stance comes after Smith was targeted in an interview with Alex McKinnon on 60 Minutes on Sunday night.
Smith was contacted by 60 Minutes on Monday and offered the chance to go on the program next week but declined.
