Ex-Suns star Campbell Brown is asking the public to consider him innocent until proven guilty after being thrown out of a Broadbeach nightclub.
He will fight charges of obstructing and assaulting police following claims he was acting aggressively at East on the weekend.
“I was just in the wrong place at the wrong time and it was all a bit of a misunderstanding,” said Brown.

“I certainly wasn’t thrown out of any venue or being aggressive or anything like that.”
He will face court next month with high-profile lawyer Christ Nyst on his side.
“We’re strongly going to fight any charges that come my way,” said Brown.
“There’s been a little bit of a media beat-up, but that always happens around these types of incidents.”
“Like I said, it will all be cleared up soon.”
