You can now use your smartphone to order McDonald’s in Australia

AUSTRALIANS can now use their smartphones to order McDonald’s from the comfort of their own home.

The service was finally made available after the fast food giant launched its “mymacca’sapp on Thursday.

It’s available to download on the Apple App Store and Google Play, allowing iPhone and Android users to pre-order and pay for their meals online.

Customers can use the app to customise and pay for their meals, gain loyalty points and find special deals but there is a catch.

Those who order through the app will still have to make the trip to their local restaurant and walk-in to collect their meal with online orders currently not accepted through the drive-thru.

The launch of the app follows the introduction of self-ordering kiosks and digital menu boards in McDonald’s restaurants across the country.

McDonald’s currently only offers home delivery from 17 of its 900 stores across Australia through MenuLog.
