Capsicum spray used to break up brawl in convenience store

Police have been forced to use capsicum spray to break up a violent brawl involving five men in an inner-Sydney convenience store.

Officers were called after reports of an assault about 11.30pm Friday.

They arrived at the Redfern store to find the men still in full flight and pulled out the OC spray to disperse the group.

Two men, aged 21 and 26, were arrested.

Three other men – two 24-year-olds and a 31-year-old – were taken to hospital for various injuries including facial lacerations.

Both men were taken to Redfern Police Station where they were later released pending further inquiries.
