Car bursts into flames at Ashmore

GOLD Coast commuters experienced delays on Slatyer Avenue in Ashmore this morning, after a car burst into flames.

The car is believed to have caught on fire on the corner of Slatyer Avenue and Benowa Road just before 8:30am.

Fire crews were quick to extinguish the fire.

No-one is believed to have been injured in the incident.

Traffic was backed up for drivers heading west towards Benowa Road.
