Car ‘completely destroyed’ by fire on northern Gold Coast

Investigations are underway on the northern Gold Coast this morning after a car was burnt out there overnight.

Police were called to Reserve Road and Academic Drive in Upper Coomera around 1.30 am, following reports that a vehicle was well alight.

The blaze was put out, but it had completely destroyed the car, which was believed to be a Mazda3.

Luckily, no people were inside the vehicle and no injuries were reported from the incident.

Investigations are now underway to determine whether or not the vehicle was stolen.
