A Coomera family has luckily escaped serious injury after a car crashed through their house last night.
Emergency services were called to the home along Spica Crescent around 1.40 am, following reports of the incident.
It’s understood a car had lost control, crashed down a hill and into the property.

A man and woman were in the car at the time, one of them was assessed for minor injuries but declined transport to the hospital.
A police spokesperson said that the male passenger had tried to flee the scene but was unsuccessful.
Both have been taken into custody, but charges are yet to be laid.
There’s understood to be significant damage to the home, but the family inside were all luckily uninjured.
