Car crashes through fence of Gold Coast kindergarten

There’s been a miraculous escape for children at a childcare centre on the Gold Coast this afternoon after a car crashed through a fence.

Emergency crews, including firies, police and paramedics, rushed to the centre on Maudsland Road and Tuxedo Junction Drive in Maudsland around 12.45pm after receiving reports of the smash.

It’s understood the vehicle collided with a power pole before going through a fence and down an embankment into the carpark of the centre.

A Queensland Ambulance spokesperson told myGC thankfully no children were injured.

“All kids are safe and evacuated” the spokesperson said.

The driver of the vehicle managed to self extricate from the car, and declined assessment by paramedics at the scene.
