Car engulfed in flames at Burleigh
Emergency services are currently at the scene of a car fire on the Gold Coast this afternoon.
It’s believed a small hatchback vehicle became engulfed in flames while parked on the side of George Street East at Burleigh Heads around 1.30pm.
The fire quickly spread to surrounding bush however has since been extinguished.
The female driver managed to make it out of the vehicle before the fire erupted.
Motorists are advised to avoid the area with traffic delays expected.
