Car hits pedestrians on Gold Coast street

UPDATE at 1:35 PM | FOUR people have been taken to hospital following a traffic crash involving two pedestrians on the Gold Coast.

It happened near the intersection of Bordeaux Parade and Sunshine Boulevard at Mermaid Waters shortly before 12.20pm.

It’s understood a vehicle collided with two pedestrians after leaving the road and flipping into a fence.

Queensland Ambulance has confirmed four people have been taken to hospital.

They were all transported to the University Hospital in stable conditions.

FIRST at 12:50 PM | EMERGENCY services are on the scene of a serious crash involving a car and two pedestrians on the Gold Coast.

It’s understood a vehicle has rolled and collided with two people at the intersection of Bordeaux Parade and Sunshine Boulevard at Mermaid Waters.

Emergency services were called to the scene about 12.20pm.

Multiple ambulance crews, including Critical Care paramedics are on the scene, assessing four patients, believed to be three women and a man.

Their ages and conditions are not known. The man is believed to be entrapped in the vehicle.

The exact circumstances surrounding the incident are not yet clear.

Police have confirmed “a number of people” have been injured and are urging motorists to avoid the area.
